The Women's Network/Leadership Akron Community Leadership Institute (CLI) is a program for women professionals who want to expand their leadership skills, while incorporating community awareness and involvement.

Established in 2015, the CLI is a joint venture with Leadership Akron.  The program is built on Leadership Akron’s community engagement modeled with the Women’s Network focus on strength based leadership and issues women face in the workplace, including gender dynamics and unconscious bias.

Sessions are led by community leaders and organizations who exemplify these leadership strengths. Sessions are held at various community locations and allow participants to be exposed to the great work being done in Greater Akron.  Throughout these fantastic learning experiences, women have the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with other like-minded women, and also gain valuable insight and tools for managing their careers as women.

“The Women’s Network CLI opened my eyes to different perspectives in the community and the wealth of opportunities in our own backyard,” said Diana Selzer, a spring graduate and a commercial lender at Westfield Bank. “It also introduced me to strong women leaders who can assist in advancing all of us as women leaders, ultimately to the benefit of our community.”

The 2019 Fall Women's Network CLI will be held on the following Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.:

Please note, the first session is a full day, while the remainder of the dates will be half days.
